Tomi Lahren Defends Trump’s ‘Sh-thole Countries’ Remark

President Trump made some very disurbing comments during an Oval Office meeting on immigration earlier this week. When news outlets broke the story that the President of the United States could speak so callously about immigrants who try to come to America to build a better lift is unfathomable. However, it has been confirmed that President Trump did refer to Haiti, El Salavador, and African nations as “shithole countries.”

Many have criticized Trump’s comments. GOP lawmakers Sen. John McCain and Speaker Paul Ryan have both issued scathing rebukes to Trump’s attacks on immigrants. McCain reminded Trump that people from everywhere have made America great and denounced his lack of respect for humanity. Ryan reminded Trump that his ancestors were immigrants and shared a powerful anecdote of their journey to remind Trump of what McCain asserted.

However, on the far-right side of the political aisle, conservative commentator Tomi Lauren took to Twitter to defend Trump’s comments. “If they aren’t shithole countries, why don’t their citizens stay there? Let’s be honest. Call it like it is,” she tweeted.

Twitter roasted the commentator for defending Trump’s racist assertion that these predominately non-white countries are “shithole countries.”

One Twitter user reminded Lahren, “Countries don’t immigrate, people do. The quality of a person isn’t determined by their surroundings. The point is that he complained that we are getting black and brown immigrants, not white ones. That makes him a racist, and that’s a bad thing to be. Call it like it is.” Do you agree?
