GOP Rep Calls For Drastic Measures To Be Taken Against FBI During Latest Interview

On Tuesday, GOP Rep Francis Rooney (Florida) was interviewed on MSNBC.

During the interview, Rooney called for drastic measures to be taken against the FBI, even claiming for a “purge.”

He also claimed that he is “very concerned that the DOJ and FBI, whether you want to call it deep state or what, are off the rails” and “that the agencies don’t respect the Constitution and won’t put the ends before the means.”

Rooney added that Americans have “very high standards for our government agencies.”

When asked if he was attempting to discredit the FBI, as well as Robert Mueller and his ongoing Russia investigation, Rooney claimed, “I don’t want to discredit them. I would like to see the directors of those agencies purge it. And say, look, we’ve got a lot of great agents, a lot of great lawyers here, those are the people that I want the American people to see and know the good works being done, not these people who are kind of the deep state.”

On Tuesday morning, President Trump took to Twitter to address allegations against his campaign.

“WOW, @foxandfrlends “Dossier is bogus. Clinton Campaign, DNC funded Dossier. FBI CANNOT (after all of this time) VERIFY CLAIMS IN DOSSIER OF RUSSIA/TRUMP COLLUSION. FBI TAINTED.” And they used this Crooked Hillary pile of garbage as the basis for going after the Trump Campaign!” Trump wrote.
