During a recent interview on CNN, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) called out controversial ex Trump administration member Stephen Bannon.
“This guy does not belong on the national stage. He looks like some disheveled drunk that wandered on to the political stage. He sort of parades himself out there with his weird alt-right views that he has and to me it’s demeaning the whole governmental and political process,” King said.
The GOP rep continued his criticism of Bannon via Twitter Wednesday morning.
“After Alabama disaster GOP must do right thing and DUMP Steve Bannon. His act is tired, inane and morally vacuous. If we are to Make America Great Again for all Americans, Bannon must go! And go NOW!!” King wrote.
Last night, Democrat Doug Jones beat GOP candidate Roy Moore, who was heavily supported by Stephen Bannon and President Trump.
In October, Bannon declared war on the GOP establishment.
“Right now it’s a season of war against the GOP establishment. Yeah, Mitch, the donors are not happy. They’ve all left ya. We’ve cut your oxygen off, Mitch, OK?” Bannon said at the time.
President Trump addressed Moore’s loss on Twitter Wednesday morning.
“The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!” Trump wrote.
