Hard-right Republicans are clearly in desperation mode when it comes to trying to defend Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore against the multiple allegations that he preyed on high school girls when he was in his 30’s.
One conservative radio host and outspoken Donald Trump recently scraped the bottom of the barrel when he tried to hit back against the accusations by claiming that former President Barack Obama is gay.
On a broadcast of his radio program, Wayne Allyn Root had harsh words for the many prominent people, including Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who have criticized Moore and called on him to withdraw from the special election race. Wayne declared that “they’re scumbags” and went on to assert that Sen. McConnell is “evil” and, worse yet, “looks like he died 20 years ago.” Wayne then lit into the women who have accused Moore of sexually assaulting them. He concluded about the accusers that, after seeing photos of these women when they were high school age, “they were beautiful young girls and they could have passed for 20.” He went on to declare that it was not a big story that Moore “hit on a couple of them,” since “every time I see a video or picture of [former Vice President Joe Biden], he’s got his hand inappropriately on a woman’s ass.”
Root then moved on to his favorite targets of Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Demanded the radio host, “Where is the Washington Post to dig into Hillary Clinton’s background? Where are the women Hillary’s dated all these years? How come they don’t come forward? Where are they? Everybody knows about them.” After alleging that Hillary has blood on her hands for the deaths of both Seth Rich and Vince Foster, he then shared his theory about Obama being gay, which he somehow felt relevant to the discussion. Said Wayne, who (amazingly) was Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, “I’ve heard the rumors about Bathhouse Barry. Everyone has. Bathhouse Barry, well known in Chicago. By the way, not a rumor from a stranger I don’t know, rumors from my friends in Chicago, who are people in the know who tell me Barack Obama has a sordid past.” Do you think Wayne Allyn Root needs psychiatric care?
