On Wednesday, “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert slammed Donald Trump Jr. for one of his recent controversial tweets.
The previous day, Trump Jr. tweeted out a picture of his daughter holding her Halloween candy.
Under the picture, Trump Jr. wrote, “I’m going to take half of Chloe’s candy tonight & give it to some kid who sat at home. It’s never to early to teach her about socialism.”
“On Halloween, kids literally go door to door to get free candy from the neighbors because the kids don’t have it and the neighbors do. That’s socialism,” Colbert stated.
He continued, saying, “Yes, it’s never too early to teach kids the danger of sharing. Also, it’s never too early to learn the proper spelling of ‘too.’ I bet that other ‘o’ went to a poor person.”
“The American people find themselves be-‘Twix’t two choices. Wealth redistribution, or empower a ‘Nutrageous’ demagogue by giving him the ‘Warheads.’ The top 1 percent ‘Toblerone’ 99 percent of the wealth, when there should be ‘Good & Plenty’ of money for everybody,’” Colbert added.
On Wednesday, Trump Jr. wrote a follow up tweet after receiving heavy criticism.
“If only blue checkmark SJWs cared as much about terrorists attacking us as they do about me attacking socialism. Enough of the PC lib crap!” Trump Jr. tweeted.
