In a radio interview on Monday, Hillary Clinton took some more shots at President Trump.
According to The Washington Post, Clinton questioned if Trump “knows that Puerto Ricans are American citizens.”
“At the same time that he was doing all of that, we had American citizens in Puerto Rico who are in desperate conditions. He has not said one word about them, about other American citizens in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I’m not sure he knows that Puerto Ricans are American citizens,” Clinton said.
Clinton was referring to Trump’s constant tweeting about the NFL, instead of focusing his attention on the people of Puerto Rico following the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.
On Tuesday morning, Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló spoke to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe’ about the current state of the island.
“This has been an unprecedented disaster, not only for Puerto Rico, but for all of the region,” he said.
The Governor continued, stating, “We need more help. We need more help with resources. We need more help with people being deployed so that we can get logistical support elsewhere. And we need Congress to take action so we can have an aid package that is real for the American citizens that live in Puerto Rico and that is flexible so that we can take immediate action.”
