Former Trump Admin Member Bannon Makes Surprising Comments In Interview

Stephen Bannon made some surprising and controversial comments during his interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes.”

Bannon was the most controversial member of the Trump administration during his time in the White House.

Contradicting previous reports that Bannon would be an enemy of Trump, Bannon claimed, “I’m going to be [Trump’s] wingman outside for the entire time.”

Bannon continued to support Trump, later saying, “No, our purpose is to support Donald Trump.”

The host then asked, “And destroy his enemies?”

Bannon responded, “To make sure his enemies know that there’s no free shot on goal.”

Bannon also made some controversial comments about the Catholic Church.

When the host mentioned to Bannon that Cardinal Timothy Dolan in New York did not support President Trump’s decision to end DACA, Bannon fired back.

“You know why? Because they have been unable to really, to come to grips with the problems in the church. They need illegal aliens. They need illegal aliens to fill the churches. It’s obvious on the face of it,” Bannon said.

Bannon continued to comment on the Catholic Church, stating, “I totally respect the pope, and I totally respect the Catholic bishops and cardinals on doctrine. This is not about doctrine. This is about sovereignty of a nation. And in that regard, they’re just another guy with an opinion.”
